WHEN IS IT RIGHT TO STOP BEING A CHRISTIAN? Many seem to believe that there are times it is alright to “stop” being a Christian for awhile, or in certain situations. What does the Bible say? When is it right to “stop” being a Christian?... At Work? (Ephesians 4:8) “Let him that stole, steal no more; but rather let him labor, working with his hands the thing which is good, that he may have to give to him that needeth.” (Colossians 3:22,23) “Servants obey in all things you masters according to the flesh; not with eye service, as men pleasers; but in singleness of heart, fearing God; And whatsoever ye do, do it heartily as to the Lord, and not unto men” (2 Thessalonians 3:10-12) At Leisure? (Romans 13:13-14) “Let us walk honestly, as in the day; not in rioting and drunkenness, not in chambering and wantoness, not in strife and envying. But put ye on the Lord Jesus Christ, and make not provision for the flesh, to fulfill the lusts thereof.” (1 Peter 4:1-4) At Home? (Colossians 3:18-20) (Ephesians 5:24-33) While Travelling? (Hebrews 10:24-25) “And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: as so much more, as ye see the day approaching.” (Proverbs 15:3) “The eyes of the Lord are in every place, beholding the evil and the good.” NOTE: What “happens in Vegas” does NOT stay in Vegas………it goes directly before the eyes of God. In Youth? (Ecclesiastes 11:9) “Rejoice, O young man, in thy youth; and let thy heart cheer thee in the days of thy youth, and walk in the ways of thine heart, and in the sight of thine eyes: but know thou, that for all these things God will bring thee into judgment.” (Ecclesiastes 12:1) “Remember thy creator in the days of thy youth, while the evil days come not, nor the years draw nigh, when thou shalt say, I have not pleasure in them.” In Old Age? (Titus 2:1-5)
